The Hohner guitar line took off in the 1970s when  Hohner started endorsing major Nashville recording artists. In the mid  1980s, Hohner teamed up with renowned guitar designers and luthiers,  expanding its range into all solid designer models and the Hohner  Professional line of electric guitars.

Overall the resulting instruments from A+ requirements have increased  quality, volume, playability, tone, sustain and instrument life. Only  A+ by Hohner instruments can claim the attributes of the A+ Advantage  system. Each A+ by Hohner mandolin includes a black padded gig bag.

The AAM40-TBS traditional A style f hole mandolin incorporates many  of the A+ build advantages. The vintage tobacco burst finish with single  ply binding gives a traditional look. But more importantly, the  comfortable 13 7/8 scale is accompanied by a player friendly neck  profile.

The one piece tailpiece is crucial for improved string vibrational  transfer to the top for sustain and a rich tone.  Internal braces  strategically altered to maximize tonal vibration. Hohner meticulously  developed a manufacturing system known as the A+ Advantage. It  improves many details of the an instruments performance..Properly cured  wood and correct grain direction is crucial to make more stable,  reliable instruments.
